Mini-update 6

Fan games are awesome! We've been hard at work on ours, but there are so many other projects that deserve shout-outs that I would be remiss not to mention a few of them.

Most recently, an "enhanced" version of Zelda 2 was released. Just like Eggerworld, it isn't a mod, it's a full stand-alone application. It faithfully reimplements the original game with added modern niceties. It adds widescreen, and by necessity it reimagines sections that formerly lived just offscreen in the original NES release. It's a must-play for fans of the original Zelda 2 like myself, and you can check out the Reddit post and links for it here.

Mega Man Maker is another excellent fan game. It takes the Mario Maker mentality and implements it for Mega Man. Makers can use bosses, enemies, and tiles from across the entire Mega Man franchise, from Cut Man all the way to Blast Man, and new content is releasing for this game all the time. Version 1.8.0 just added a ton of new features, so go check it out here.

Eggerworld is much younger than these projects but it is also coming along nicely. There's so much we can do that we feel like kids in a candy store when picking what cool features to try next. For now, I'll leave you with this:
